Your fascia stretch therapy session is performed on a treatment table. One leg is gently restrained to prevent movement while the other leg is worked on. Comfortable stretchy clothing should be worn such as yoga pants, jogging pants and a t-shirt to allow uninhibited movement. Soft relaxing music will be playing. The client and therapist work together during the session to ensure pain is never felt and to find the most productive positions possible. Modified PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation) is used to increase range of motion and to release tight tissue and adhesions. Fascia Stretch Therapy will down regulate your nervous system causing you to relax, breathe deeper and sleep better. You will leave feeling lighter, mentally calm and your body moving more freely with fewer restrictions. 

 

Each client of NOLA Stretch is treated with care and respect. Before starting each appointment a verbal and visual assessment is made to evaluate any existing limitations and/or structural imbalances. This is the point to fully communicate any pain, discomfort and limitations in movement and flexibility. Your expectations and goals for the session would be greatly appreciated at this time. Your comfort is a priority during your treatment session and you are eagerly invited to say something if you ever experience discomfort of any kind.

 

Fascia Stretch Therapy is a neuromyofascial manual therapy that is appropriate for clients of all ages and physical capabilities as each session is tailored to the individual’s needs.

 

Lydia Cabibi, owner of NOLA Stretch, has been helping clients find pain relief for over 17 years as a Licensed Massage Therapist. She completed her hands on training with Ann and Chris Frederick of the Stretch to Win Institute in Chandler, Arizona to become a Certified Fascia Stretch Therapy Practitioner. Fascia Stretch Therapy was birthed in 2020 to improve the athletic performance and recovery of professional athletes. Today it is used by professional athletes and the rest of us as a method of pain relief, to improve flexibility of the body, to speed up recovery from workouts allowing improved training sessions.
